This song was originally realeased as theme from the animated film “The Land Before Time”, making the Top 40 Adult Contemporary chart in the US (#23) . Later, the song was included in the international version of her album “The Force Behind The Power”, and re-released as single. It went to #25 in Ireland, #36 in The Netherlands and #11 the UK. It became an international hit, reaching #1 in Japan on the International Singles Chart (Oricon Chart #4). “If We Hold on Together” sold 465,190 copies, staying for 35 weeks on the chart. It became the best-selling single by Diana Ross in that country, and eventually peaked at No. 24 in the list of Best-selling international singles of all time.
